ACHIEVEMENTS
Created, developed and delivered
technical training presentations for international high-tech companies.
Researched, designed, developed and delivered
complete progression training presentations and workshops utilizing
a variety of delivery processes. Conducted technical programs
and seminars involving TCP/IP, Internet, VPNs, IP Telephony, ATM,
Frame Relay, Unix Systems and Applications, and Sales Methodologies.
RESULTS: Customers increased product sales, enhanced client
loyalty, expanded technical skills, and improved employee morale
and retention.
Managed training and development
of new instructors. Process involved a train-the-trainer
development program including delivery styles, instructor logistics,
customer service, problem prevention and solving issues, communication,
use of training aids, audio visual support equipment, training
manuals and materials. RESULTS:
Improved quality, consistency, and reliability of training
program delivery. Increased customer service, improved staff
morale, and enhanced team building for training staff.
Managed the Internet Operations
Group for a statewide Internet regional network. Lead
a team of network analysts responsible for the operations of a
network connecting over 200 sites and 25,000 nodes in the state
of North Carolina. RESULTS: This network was a leading regional network in the
Internet community and
a test bed for innovations in network protocol development and
operations procedures.
Established network management procedures
for the corporate Intranet of an international cable corporation.
Designed and implemented the network management system monitoring
the corporation's global network from the central Network Operations
Center. Network outages were detected within seconds and
trouble reports generated immediately. An automatic pager
system notified on-call technicians. RESULTS: Network downtime
was greatly reduced resulting in improved performance of corporate
scheduling and billing applications that ran on the network.
Employees perceived the network as a valuable asset in completing
their job functions.
